NME about Ellister- Album Citadel;
‘Citadel’ – originally appeared on The Rolling Stones’ much-maligned psychedelic album from 1967 ‘Satanic Majesties’, (a classic in my mind); it is now reinterpreted by Jack Ellister on his new single on Fruits de Mer Records’ Regal Crabomophone label – on sale mid-August. Jack creates 21st century psychedelia – somehow merging the old and the new to brilliant effect. His new single, also featuring his own composition, ‘The Man With The Biochopper’, is available on strictly-limited 7″ vinyl from Fruits de Mer Records.

“I love all my analogue recording gear and the GAP stuff just fits in perfectly. It adds a nice colour and really sounds great.”

Justin Dzuban

Based out of Southbay Los Angeles, Singer-songwriter, Guitarist and Producer Justin Dzuban draws an eclectic mix of influences ranging from Country Western, Rock and Roll, Folk and Classical. As a self taught musician, Justin has spent the past decade developing his techical background through Post Production sound editing for feature films, which he attributes to his ability to produce and mix music.

“As I paired a blackspade um17 tube mic through the Gap73(which was modded with carnhill transformers), My second album “Shakedown” was recorded mono in the most simplistic form. The Gap73 handled everything from capturing the nuances of my baritone voice to being used for recording drum overhead, eclectic guitars, accordion, electric piano. I essentially tracked my whole album with this single channel Gap73. As my songs are all different from each other varying from Rock to acoustic, the ability to find an overall sonic signature is what I was looking for and this preamp really did just that. The Gap73 proved itself to be a very fun preamp to work with. The sound was colorful, being able to drive the output transformer, it really gave me the cohesive sound I was looking for. “VIBE” is the essence of this preamp, and it suited my taste in capturing my album with thickness and clarity. Great job as thank you!”

Pietro Foresti

“GAP gears sono la mia arma segreta, unici nel trasferire spessore e anima del suono, cioè quello che a distanza di anni resterà ancora iscritto nella musica che produco ora.”

“GAP gears are my secret weapons. They are unique to inject emotions into the sound, which is the most important thing in my production’s idea.”
